How referrals work at Aerarium
Some groups find Aerarium through people who introduce them to us — we call them referrers. Referrers may be community organisers, people with a following, or people who are themselves the treasurer or a member of a group.
Referrers earn a commission from us for the groups they bring on. We think you should simply know that. Here is exactly what it means — and what it does not.
- The commission is paid by Aerarium, out of the normal subscription. It does not add anything to what a group pays. A referred group pays exactly the same as any other.
- Referrers are paid for introducing a group — not for influencing how that group saves, lends, or records its money. Aerarium still never gives financial advice, never ranks or recommends anything, and never holds your money. The record itself is not affected.
- Referrers never receive your personal information. They only ever see aggregate counts — how many active members a group has — never names or contact details.
- It is single-level. Referrers earn only on the groups they personally introduce. There is no recruiting chain and no multi-level structure.
